Hello !! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving just like I am, I’m ready to eat😁
Today I wanted to talk to you guys about seeking inspiration, what I mean by that is, just finding people who inspire, people you can look up to, and things or objects that help boost your confidence and inspiration. I’ve come across a bunch of people who have deeply inspired me to keep going in this dance journey as well as boosting my confidence up to top charts. Most people who I’ve met are also apart of the dance journey and I’d say to find people with the same similarities because you may find that they have similar stories or backgrounds just like you and there probably wanting to reach the top as well. The people with same stories and backgrounds are most likely going to help boost your confidence and inspire you. My own dance teacher from a couple years ago had a similar story as me. She has taken tap and loved it ever since. She took tap since she was a teenager and has since been teaching. She’s also been to several tap productions and also performed in a countless amount. She’s inspired me because I honestly love tap as well and I can definelty look up. Tap is a hard genre dance to accomplish but she continued to push me and she’s inspired to continue to keep going and take everything step by step. I don’t have to start dance at 3 years old to become professional, as long as you work hard, set goals, learn, and for me, write stuff done, then your well on your way. My tap teacher may not know that’s she’s inspired me but she has because she’s always been a hard worker.
Another way I find inspiration is just watching dance videos and learning new moves and steps from people who teach online. YouTube is my source for learning dance everything. Besides my teachers, YouTube is always so helpful to me. I love Kathryn Morgan and “Lazy Dancer Tips” and Claudia Dean, and Kami all on YouTube. These 4 YouTube channels have inspired me the most because I learn so much from them. There work ethic is unbelievable and to teach for millions of YouTube watchers, it’s just amazing. Each and everyone of them aspire to help dancers around the world and it boost my confidence and inspired me because when I’m teaching, I know I can look to them and feel just as confident as they are and feel just a good even if I mess up.
Thanks for reading, stay tuned for my next blog. ❣️
